Status as of May 8th, 2012:
The proposed amendment to the approved C of A 11-0029 application was presented during a public meeting at the LPC on Tuesday, May 15th. The applicant proposed removing some of the ramps at this complex in order to increase the street presence for potential retailers and storefronts. The Commission felt that the loading docks are character-defining features of this building and that similar buildings in other parts of the city have successfully incorporated the historic ramps into their design proposals. They felt that the loading docks at the northwest corner of building A should remain. The Commission took a vote of no action and asked that the application return at a future public meeting (date TBD) with a revised proposal.
