: LATEST NEWS
At Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on July 12th, the Commission voted to approve the application with modifications. They asked that the applicant work with Commission staff to make the bracket sign fit their guidelines (it needs to be 18′ or less and at least 10′ above the sidewalk). They also stated that the sign should not cause damage to the building and that it should relate the commercial business.

Status as of July 5th, 2011:
The applicant presented the proposal to the Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee of Community Board 2 on July 5th. The Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on this application is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12th.

This application is scheduled to be shown publicly for the first time at the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee public hearing on Tuesday, July 5th, 2011, at 7:00 pm in the NYU Silver Building, 32 Waverly Place, Room 208 (as these details are subject to change, please visit the Community Board’s calendar for the most up-to-date information). The Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on this application has not yet been scheduled.

This applicant did not appear at the Community Board 2 hearing on June 13th. Both the Community Board 2 hearing and the Landmarks Preservation Commission hearing (originally scheduled for June 21st) have been postponed to dates TBD.
