APPLICATION:
From the LPC agenda: A Colonial Revival style library building designed by Carrere & Hastings, and built in 1904-06, with a stripped Classical style addition designed by Raphael Glucroft, and built in 1934. Application is to install rooftop mechanical equipment and acoustical panels.

LATEST NEWS As of 4/10/12: This application was approved with modifications at the April 10th LPC hearing. The Commission asked that the applicant work with staff to find an appropriate color for the acoustical panels to help conceal the panels and cut down on the reflective light from the metal.

As of 4/3/12: This application was heard at CB2 on April 2nd. It will next be heard at the Landmarks Preservation Commission on April 10th. Public testimony welcome.

As of 3/23/12: This application is scheduled to be heard at Community Board 2 on April 2nd. Public testimony welcome.

When: Tuesday, April 10, 2012**
Where: 1 Centre Street, 9th Floor, public hearing room

**Please check the Commission’s agenda the Friday afternoon before the public hearing to see the approximate time that this application is scheduled to be heard.** At this hearing, the Commission will officially vote to approve or deny the application, or ask that the applicant return at a later date with revisions. Public attendance and testimony are welcome (note: this will most likely be the last opportunity for public comment on this application).
