A neo-Grec style tenement and store building designed by Charles Mettam and built in 1878. Application is to install storefront infill and signage.

Status as of May 3rd, 2011: LATEST NEWS
At the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on May 3rd, the Commission voted to approve the application with modifications. The applicant is to work with Commission staff to reduce the number of proposed lights.

Status as of April 25th, 2011:
At the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee hearing on April 25th, the applicant presented the proposal that will be shown to the Landmarks Preservation Commission on May 3rd. The application is to replace the wood in the storefront (the cast iron elements will not be touched)

Status as of April 15th, 2011:
This application is scheduled to be shown publicly for the first time at the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee public hearing at on Monday, April 25th, 2011, at 6:30 pm in the NYU Silver Building, 32 Waverly Pl. Room 206 (as these details are subject to change, please visit the Community Board’s calendar for the most up-to-date information). Public attendance and testimony are welcome.
