At the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on July 26th, the Commission voted to approve the application. However, because they were concerned that the proposed wood frame might not withstand the weight of the doors, they voted to approve both wood and aluminum for the frame, so that the architect would have a choice.
Status as of July 18th, 2011:This applicant presented the proposal to the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee at their public hearing on Monday, July 18th. See above for photos. This application will be shown to the Landmarks Preservation Commission on July 26th.

This application is scheduled to be shown publicly for the first time at the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee public hearing on Monday, July 18th, 2011, at 6:30 pm in the NYU Silver Building, 32 Waverly Pl.
